Kristen Carruth, LPC-Associate

I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate in Texas, passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and couples navigate life’s challenges with authenticity and self-compassion. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their unique stories, embrace their strengths, and uncover new possibilities for growth and healing.

With a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, I work under the supervision of Jennifer Galske-Reid, LPC-S (#17557) as I build upon my training and expertise. My therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered care, blending evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and attachment-based interventions to address anxiety, depression, relational trauma, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. I also utilized the Gottman Method when working with couples.

I believe that healing begins when we embrace our true selves and approach life’s challenges with curiosity and courage. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your teen, or your family, I am here to provide encouragement and compassionate care as we work toward your goals.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me exploring Houston’s bike trails, experimenting with new recipes, or relaxing at home with my three dogs and a good book from my favorite sci-fi/fantasy series.
